Will Humayun Saeed Will Work in Islamic Story Drama?

 

The Turkish drama series Diriliş: Ertuğrul has caused so much attention in Pakistan that no one else can speak. The drama has become the most-watched TV show in Pakistan this Ramazan and is widely discussed on social media and in WhatsApp groups.

After the commotion, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar announced that he was working on a historical saga similar to Ertuğrul. The author said it was time "to introduce our heroes to the younger generation who don't know them".

The author told a private media company: “We have decided to do a series about a great Islamic hero. I'm doing research now, reading several books, and will start writing in a week. ""

The author went on to say he will team up again with the team at Meray Paas Tum Ho and cast Humayun Saeed as the main hero. Nadeem Baig will direct the show while Humayun's Six Sigma Productions will produce it.

Qamar added that he had asked Humayun "to work on something like this for the past 12 years," but their limited facilities have prevented them from realizing their dream.

Although Qamar failed to share any further details, he said the TV show will meet international standards and be entirely based on fact. He said the team will soon hold a joint press conference to officially announce the project and other details.

The writer appreciated Ertuğrul and said that he “welcomed” his creators and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for the production of this masterpiece. He also praised Prime Minister Imran Khan's decision to air this series to the Pakistani audience in Urdu.

"Ertuğrul was the hero of the Muslims, whether the series was created by Turkey or another country, heroes do not change," said Qamar.

On the other hand, while talking about the project, Humayun said he hoped it would be "the greatest drama ever produced in Pakistan".

"I thought about doing a historical drama almost two years ago and then I saw Ertuğrul," said Humayun. "When I saw Ertuğrul's popularity in Pakistan as soon as it aired on PTV, I was even more convinced that we had to create our own historical drama."

We have yet to decide who the story is based on and the planning is still in its infancy, but yes, Khalil Sahab is writing it, ”he added. Some reports suggest that the drama about the great warrior of Islam, Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi, will take place.
